Brazilian rental company Centro Oeste has taken delivery of the first 300 tonne Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 All Terrain to arrive in Brazil, and the first crane in the country to feature Liebherrr’s Liccon3 control system.

The six axle LTM 1300-6.4 features an eight section, 90 metre main boom topped by an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, to which two seven metre inserts can be added between the boom nose and swingaway for a tip height of 121 metres. Other features include the Variobase Plus outrigger setup system, which offers a wider, more variable rear outrigger spread – up to 9.4 metres – as well as AutoBallast. The crane will be used for large scale industrial operations and maintenance shutdowns and installations, as well as infrastructure, energy projects and port development projects.

Centro Oeste managing director Diego Scopel said: “Thanks to its 90 metre telescopic boom, the LTM 1300-6.4 can reach heights which would require the installation of a lattice extension on other 300 tonners. This shortens set-up time, while making it easier for our team members. This boosts efficiency, safety and availability.”
With a fleet of around 110 mobile cranes, loader cranes and forklifts – Guindastes Centro Oeste specialises in crane rental services to the steel, port, petrochemical and pulp industries located in Serra, in the state of Espírito Santo. The company was also the first company in Brazil to take a 230 tonne Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 in 2023.
