Cabin hardware is of course a critical part of the inflight experience. The wide range of equipment on show in Singapore will include everything from seating to power, to accessibility solutions. Here are just a few of the highlights in store at APEX FTE Expo:
A new class of power
Burrana will be demonstrating its RISE Power system, which it says represents a reimagining of the role of in-seat power. The system combines intelligent power management, a lightweight architecture and a scalable system design, engineered to maximise available aircraft power, simplify installation, and provide a foundation for future connected aircraft.
Burrana says that RISE Power reflects a fundamental shift in how airlines and OEMs evaluate the efficiency of their in-seat power. Success is no longer measured simply by charging a device, but by how intelligently the power is managed, distributed and integrated throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
With embedded intelligence, data and analytics capabilities, RISE Power extends beyond device charging to provide operational insights, support predictive maintenance, and improve cabin readiness. As aircraft become increasingly connected, in-seat power is becoming a strategic part of the cabin infrastructure. The system is designed for both line-fit and retrofit programmes.
Smart seating for single aisles
Expliseat will present its latest seating developments for the single-aisle cabin, highlighting a seat architecture designed from the outset to support smarter onboard technology integration.
The design combines circular carbon-fibre tubes with a modular backshell, enabling the latest connectivity technologies to be integrated while also giving airlines the flexibility to upgrade or replace individual components as requirements evolve. The modular design also facilitates maintenance, limits premature obsolescence, and helps extend the value of the cabin throughout its lifecycle.
These developments form part of Expliseat’s expansion into the single-aisle market, bringing together lightweight composite construction, technology-ready design and long-term operational performance.

An expanded product portfolio

Inflight Canada, a Transport Canada, FAA, and EASA certified provider of aircraft cabin systems, will present its expanded product portfolio at APEX FTE Expo as the company marks its 50th anniversary, backed by a portfolio of more than 30 patents, 250 Supplemental Type Certificates, and over 1,000 aircraft modified worldwide.
The portfolio includes Pulsara, an in-seat haptic technology offering wellness benefits passengers can feel and airlines can measure; FlexPower, a seat power solution designed for flexibility of installation; FlexPES/PSS, a passenger entertainment and service system with USB power for wide body aircraft without in-seat IFE; FlexVideo, a modern overhead video and Smart Content and Control Unit (SCCU); FlexPass, which brings accessibility to all passengers; and FlexCargo, which converts passenger aircraft to cargo operations and back.
Inflight Canada is continuing to expand its product roadmap and its presence in global markets, including across Asia. The Singapore showcase reflects IFC’s ambition to deepen relationships with airlines, MRO operators, and ecosystem partners across the region, building on existing connections.
Access to any seat
The Wiselift AnySeat is an airport-based powered PRM lift engineered to provide PRMs with safe and comfortable access to any seat in any class on any aircraft.
Developed by Letronics through co-design with PRM travellers, human-factors experts, and airline crews, the system has a compact geometry, synchronised multi-axis actuation, and stay-with-the-passenger sling architecture.
By operating as an airport-based device outside the constraints of DO-160 and onboard equipment rules, AnySeat unlocks immediate fleetwide deployment, reduces crew injury risk, accelerates boarding, protects cabin materials, and gives PRMs the freedom of true seat choice.

New power technologies
A recent development at Astronics Corporation is the EmPower 1327-27 Dual USB-Type-C in-seat power outlet, which provides up to 60W of combined power across two USB-Type-C ports.
With advanced intelligent power management, the unit adjusts its output to deliver the full 60W to a single port if only one device is in use, or intelligently distributes power between both ports when two devices are charging.
The EmPower 1327-27 has customisable faceplate colour options and a form factor identical to previous outlet designs, providing compatibility with existing seat cutouts and simplifying installation processes.
Astronics has also developed the EmPower Qi2 wireless charging module, with 25W of output power to support Qi-enabled devices. Its MagSafe compatibility enables reliable magnetic retention and precise device alignment for charging efficiency, while also having backward charging compatibility with non-Qi2 devices.
