Baltic Yachts injected some Miami Vice flavor into the DNA of its latest vessel.
The Finnish yard has just unveiled the first hull of its new 80 Café Racer series, a lineup meant to bring a dose of style and personality to the seas. The 80-foot sailing yacht follows in the footsteps of Baltic’s popular 68 Café Racer, adding some extra oomph and more space for all your weekend sailing adventures.
Designed by Javier Jaudenes, the 80 Café Racer was brought to life using advanced CFD analysis and data from North Sails’s Virtual Wind Tunnel, which created a design that puts performance at the forefront. As a result, the hull is made from a lightweight carbon-fiber, which, for the debut model, is done up in a bold green worthy of Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs. You can also opt for one of two different rig configurations, allowing you to pivot from an easy, gentle journey on the water with family to rail-down racing with a full crew.
That bright hull isn’t the only thing that’s bold on this yacht.

That bright colorful theme extends into the main saloon. Hull No. 1 has a fully open space lying below, a loft-style arrangement complete with floral-patterned couches, orange abound, and a blue kitchen beyond for the ultimate entertainment configuration. Head to the owner’s bedroom, meanwhile, and you’ll spot a blue-toned bedframe, complete with an abstract fish design on the wall, and a bathroom lit up in orange.
Though if you prefer something a little less flashy, Baltic can take care of that for other vessels in the 80 Café Racer family, with some help for the interiors from Design Unlimited. Owners can opt for a semi-enclosed galley, which adds a bit of space from the main saloon, or can fully enclose the galley for more separation. The saloon, too, can be designed to fit your own style on the seas, whether it be large armchairs or large sofas for more relaxed seating onboard; plus, you’ll have your pick of fabrics and materials.

“It shows just how confident and expressive this concept can be and invites the next owner to take it somewhere completely their own—ultimately, it’s all about making it easier and more enjoyable to just go sailing,” Mark Tucker of Design Unlimited said in a press statement.
The first hull of the 80 Café Racer is set for delivery in summer 2027. And if green isn’t exactly your speed, never fear: The vessel’s hull also comes in a bold blue, a strawberry red, a neon yellow, and a far more neutral gray. Happy sailing.
