Drone Flight has initiated operations in Romania with a start-up investment of EUR 300k to fund local programmes, authorisations, staff training, command infrastructure, software and the transfer of technology and procedures from the Netherlands.
Drone Flight Romania aims to offer beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) services through a drone-as-a-service model, enabling companies to use drone services without purchasing the drones. Drone Flight says it will use the same model as that currently operating in the Netherlands. Two of the company’s shareholders are Dutch.
The company will initially focus on companies that require recurring drone surveillance, inspection and monitoring services.
