Geneva will have its first nonstop service to South America from April 2027, when LATAM Brasil begins flying three times a week to São Paulo, Brazil.
The route will connect Geneva with São Paulo/Guarulhos, LATAM’s main hub in Brazil and a major gateway for flights across South America. The airline will use Boeing 787-9s on the service, which is scheduled to begin on April 2.
Flights will leave São Paulo on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 6:05 p.m. and arrive in Geneva at 9:55 a.m. the following day. Departures from Geneva will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:05 p.m., arriving in Brazil at 6:55 p.m.
Switzerland currently has only one nonstop passenger route to South America. SWISS flies daily between Zurich and São Paulo with Boeing 777-300ERs.

The airline also serves Buenos Aires twice a week, but the flight stops in São Paulo in both directions. The Boeing 777 continues from Guarulhos to the Argentine capital before returning to Brazil and then Zurich.
11 destinations in Europe
Geneva will be LATAM Brasil’s 11th destination in Europe. The carrier already flies from Brazil to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Frankfurt, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Milan, Paris and Rome.
Tickets for the new route go on sale on November 1. The operation remains subject to government approval.
LATAM expects to offer 55 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity from São Paulo to Geneva and 36 tonnes in the opposite direction. Pharmaceuticals and temperature-sensitive products are among the shipments expected on the route.
