Native color digital lidar joins TrueView 1 payloads and LP360 software for utility corridor and large-scale infrastructure mapping across the U.S.
Ouster (Nasdaq: OUST) and GeoCue announced a strategic partnership on September 1, 2026 from San Francisco. The two companies will integrate Ouster’s Rev8 OS1 Max digital lidar into GeoCue’s TrueView product line. The sensor complies with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA). BABA compliance matters for federal projects with domestic content rules. Joint flight testing and firmware tuning took place in Huntsville, Alabama.
The partnership targets utility and infrastructure customers. GeoCue’s TrueView 1 payloads and LP360 point-cloud software will pair with the Ouster sensor to deliver survey-grade data. The move builds on prior GeoCue TrueView expansions, including the TrueView 540 lidar co-developed with CHC Navigation.

Rev8 OS1 Max advantages for TrueView
The Rev8 OS1 Max offers four gains for GeoCue customers. A smaller spot size and tighter beam resolve thin objects such as power lines and structural edges. The 200-meter (656-foot) range at 10% reflectivity clears altitude limits around utility corridors. Operators fly higher without losing data quality. The sensor captures native color alongside 3D lidar, so every point arrives aligned to its color. That gives LP360 an added RGB reference beyond the dual cameras in every TrueView payload, tightening sensor fusion. And 256 channels in 2K and 4K modes keep point density high at fast flight speeds. That supports long-corridor surveys by propeller and fixed-wing aircraft.
