Helicentre Aviation Academy is once again offering a Helicopter Pilot Scholarship programme which funds CPL(H) training with applications open for the 2027 award. This will be the 15th year the academy has offered such a opportunity to help pilots fast-track their way onto the career ladder. The Scholarship has an estimated value of GBP65,000 with the cost of post PPL(H) hour building, the ATPL(H) theoretical knowledge course and the complete CPL(H) modular flying course with up to 150 hours in a Guimbal Cabri G2.
Speaking about the Scholarship Helicentre Chairman Chris Line said: “Our Scholarship programme has continued to be extremely successful, helping students with funding in order to complete their professional training. We have been extremely busy in recent years with a high number of students going offshore and as a result this has created a significant demand for pilots across onshore operations. The programme continues to allow us to provide students with career opportunities including working for Helicentre as charter pilots, as well as Line Pilots on our numerous utility contracts. Our demand has never been higher! Our Scholarship programme was created to meet the ever-growing demand for helicopter pilots and continues to be the biggest single investment in the future of our industry that we as a company have made. We are once again extremely proud of the quality of talent we have discovered and developed thanks to our Scholarship programme”.
Since launching in 2012, Helicentre Aviation Academy’s scholarship programmes, unique within the industry, have awarded over £1.4 million in professional training.
Anyone wishing to apply for the scholarship must have submitted their application and completed their PPL(H) course with Helicentre Aviation by 31st July 2027.
