Hillsboro Heli Academy have announced a workshop aimed at High School students which is designed to give aspiring pilots an introduction to flight training and careers in helicopter aviation. The workshop will take place on from the 16th to 19th of June at the academy’s dedicated helicopter campus in Troutdale, Oregon. The workshop offers participants an opportunity to experience real-world helicopter operations in a professional training environment.
Participants will gain insight into helicopter aerodynamics, flight controls, safety procedures, day-to-day operations of a professional pilot training school, and will experience a demo-flight on the last day.
Workshop participants will:
● Explore the fundamentals of helicopter flight
● Learn from certified flight instructors
● Learn about basic aerodynamics, weather decisions, and helicopter maneuvers
● Gain insight into training pathways and aviation careers
● Connect with a global community of aviation enthusiasts
