
Leonardo’s Q1 order book was given a significant boost with the sale of 23 AW149s to the UK RAF.
Leonardo have released the company’s first quarter results with the Helicopter division posting a strong result with sales, revenues and earnings all up compared with the same period lat year. Revenues for the quarter were up 5.6% to EUR1.226 billion buoyed by higher activities from Customer Support, Services & Training (CSST)activities as well as the delivery of 29 helicopters (one more than Q1 last year). The result of this activity yielded earnings before interest taxation and amortisation (EBITA) of EUR70 million an 8.6% improvement compared with Q1 2025.
Meanwhile, orders were also up by 13.5% year on year largely thanks to the signing of the New Medium Helicopter contract with the UK government which will see the purchase of 23 AW149s for the Royal Air Force. Taking the value of the Leonardo Helicopters order book to EUR15.o2bn.
