AI 3D model generation platform Meshy AI has been named to Andreessen Horowitz’s new Top 50 Consumer AI Apps by Monthly Revenue ranking, placing at No. 31.
It is the only company focused on AI-generated 3D content to appear on the list. The ranking was published as part of the seventh edition of a16z’s Top 100 Gen AI Consumer Apps report. Previous editions ranked AI products by web traffic and mobile app usage. This is the first time the report has introduced a revenue-based ranking, drawing on observed US consumer card spending data from analytics firm YipitData.
“We’re proud to be the only AI 3D company on this list. It shows that 3D has become a category people are willing to pay for,” said Faye Pan, VP of Growth at Meshy. “Every day, artists, studios and creators use Meshy to go from idea to 3D in minutes. That’s why we believe 3D is the next great medium for creativity — and our mission is to make it accessible to everyone.”
Revenue rankings put AI 3D model generation in focus
The difference in methodology matters. Traffic and downloads show what people try. Spending shows what they value enough to pay for. By that measure, at least one AI 3D company is now generating enough consumer revenue to appear alongside established tools for language, image, video and music on the same list, even if a single entry at No. 31 stops well short of proving that 3D has reached the same commercial scale as those categories.
Meshy develops its own proprietary multimodal foundation models that convert text and images into 3D assets used in games, film and 3D printing. The company says its annual recurring revenue has surpassed $100 million, and it reports more than 15 million registered users worldwide. In July 2026, Meshy closed a Series B round of nearly $400 million at a $1.5 billion valuation, which the company describes as the largest funding round to date in the AI 3D space.
One observation from a16z’s report adds useful context here. The firm noted that many of the leading creative products on the revenue list are built on proprietary models. Consumers, the report found, continue to pay for specialized creative tools even as broader models from companies like OpenAI and Google improve at image and video generation. Meshy fits that pattern. It trains its own foundation models for 3D generation.
The top five slots on the revenue list went to OpenAI, Anthropic, Canva, Superhuman and Higgsfield. Other notable names further down include Midjourney at No. 11, Figma at No. 15, Notion at No. 17, Runway at No. 25 and Gamma at No. 30, and more.
Turning AI-generated designs into printed objects
For a 3D printing readership, Meshy’s commercial reach also extends to physical production. Earlier this year, the company connected its generation platform to Formlabs’ Form Now print-on-demand service, allowing users to go from a text prompt to an order for a professionally 3D printed part in under five minutes. Meshy reports a 97% slicer pass rate on character and figurine models.
That pipeline addresses what has historically been one of the widest gaps in consumer 3D printing: the distance between wanting an object and having the modeling skills to produce a printable file.
Meshy’s integrations also extend into printer manufacturers’ software ecosystems. In March 2026, its generation engine was embedded in Bambu Lab’s MakerWorld through the MakerLab hub, with multi-color printing support for Bambu’s AMS system. Flashforge, Creality, Elegoo and xTool were reportedly identified as Meshy partners during the company’s Series B round.
These relationships indicate interest from established 3D printing companies in Meshy’s technology, although the extent of integration varies between them. The pattern suggests that 3D printer manufacturers are beginning to treat AI-generated content as a feeder into their own ecosystems, not just a novelty.
