Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) has participated in a specialized workshop on emergency, crisis and disaster management as part of the Knowledge Management in Crisis and Disaster Management program organized by The Sharjah Police’s (SP) General Department of Prevention and Safety. The workshop brought together representatives from organizations across the aviation and airspace sector who exchanged knowledge and best practices.
The program explored a range of key topics, including the roles and responsibilities of the organizations involved; Sharjah Police’s emergency, crisis and disaster management framework; the different phases of incident management; security risk registers and response plans; command and control systems; available capabilities and resources; and operational best practices in managing emergency situations.
The workshop boosted participants’ understanding of emergency and crisis management processes, command and control systems, and risk and incident management, while providing insight into the roles, capabilities and areas of collaboration between participating organizations.
