
The AW 139 simulator will be optimised for SAR and HEMS training.
Simulator manufacturer Entrol has expanded its presence in Australia announcing the sale of two advanced mission simulators to operator Toll Aviation. The agreement incudes the the supply of a Bell 429 Level 6 Flight Training Device (FTD) and an AW139 Level 5 FTD. Both simulators will be equipped with Entrol’s latest technology.
The Bell 429 simulator will be configured to meet the demands of law enforcement missions using the company’s ENVISION mission package. This includes a high-detail database of airports, specific 3D objects, and dedicated mission areas. Additional tactical features include a vibration system, a debriefing station, Forward Looking Infrared Camera based on FLIR simulation, and specialised lighting.
Meanwhile the AW139 simulator is designed for SAR and HEMS mission training and includes a hoist control station along with a SAR mission scenarios in the ENVISION database which also features geo-specific Australian terrain data.
