The US Army has issued a request for Information (RFI) to identify possible sources capable of providing counter-small uncrewed aerial systems (C‑sUAS) solutions targeting Group 1 and Group 2 drones.
The focus is on mobile, ruggedised technologies to detect, track, identify, decide and defeat enemy UAS. Solutions must be capable of integration with the Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV) variants (ISV-U and ISV-9) to provide a mobile, layered protection approach at the platoon and squad echelons.
The RFI notes that priority will be given to readily available commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, modified COTS or developmental items capable of achieving full production within six months. The Army adds that any developmental system would need to be supported by a “concise and attainable development and commercialisation plan without participation or funding from the government”.
Responses are required by August 19.
