Vueling, the Spain-based low-cost airline, has appointed Gategroup as its new retail-on-board and catering partner. Gategroup will provide services across the airline’s network, with the aim of improving the onboard experience through smarter retail, stronger culinary delivery, and more connected technology.
A ley part of the arrangement is Gateretail’s 360º digital retail ecosystem, designed to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. This integrated suite of retail technology will give Vueling access to real-time insights, advanced data analytics, and digital touchpoints that help streamline onboard operations and create new opportunities in inflight service. The goal is not only to improve how retail is delivered in the cabin, but also to make the offering more relevant and responsive to passenger needs.
Gategroup will also provide a scalable, future-ready catering and retail-on-board model designed for quality and operational consistency. Through Gategroup subsidiaries, Gategourmet and Evertaste, Vueling will be able to offer meals tailored to passenger preferences, alongside healthy meals for crew and pilots produced through centralised facilities.
