Volkan Yaren has joined CargoCrew as commercial director, following two years as cargo pricing manager at Qatar Airways.
Dubai-based CargoCrew provides freight and logistics services for airlines, freight forwarders and shippers.
Yaren joined CargoCrew this month with 15 years of industry experience behind him.
During his time as cargo pricing manager at Qatar Airways, he was responsible for managing all functions related to cargo pricing within the QR network, implementing pricing policies, and guiding global sales towards optimal pricing strategies.
Before working for Qatar, he spent five years at Geodis, latterly as regional air pricing manager for Europe.
He has also previously worked for Toll Global Forwarding in technology sales, airfreight procurement and pricing, as well as for Turkish Airlines in marketing and sales.
“After an incredible two-year journey with Qatar Airways, it is time for a new chapter. I am excited to share that I have joined CargoCrew as Commercial Director at their HQ in Dubai,” Yaren said in a LinkedIn post on 11 May.
