Airbus Helicopters have reported their half year results for 2026 which reveal that the company posted net orders for 215 aircraft in the period, a 26% increase compared with the same period in 2025. Even so, thanks to an increase in delivery rates the company’s order backlog has not grown at the same rate growing by 20% year on year however the backlog still remains at over 1000 aircraft, a volume it has stood at since the end of last year.
Despite delivering more aircraft in the first half (144 versus 138 in H1 2025) revenues year on year have remained static at EUR 3.680 billion compared with 3.693 bn in 2025 leading to an Adjusted Earnings Before Interest and Taxation (Adj. EBIT) of EUR240 million a fall of 4% on H1 2025’s result. Airbus says that his is due to a change in the composition of the aircraft types delivered this year compared with last as well as higher expenditure on research and development.
