American Airlines will resume nonstop service between Miami (MIA) and Caracas (CCS) on April 30, ending a seven-year suspension of its Venezuela flights. Tickets for the route are now available through aa.com and the airline’s mobile app.
Flights will be operated by Envoy, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group, using Embraer 175 aircraft configured in dual-class layout. The service provides scheduled departures from Miami at 10:16 a.m. ET with return flights from Caracas at 2:40 p.m. ET.
The resumption follows recent political changes, including the capture of Nicolás Maduro by US forces in Caracas and the establishment of a diplomatic bridge between the US and Venezuela. Operations had been halted since 2019 due to regional instability.
American Airlines began serving Venezuela in 1987 and was the largest US carrier in the country before the suspension. The carrier connects more destinations nonstop to the US from the Caribbean and Latin America than any other airline.
