Axon Vision has received an order valued at up to approximately ILS 15 million (approx. USD 5 million) for the supply of its counter-uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) platforms from an Israeli defence organisation.
The order follows the launch of the company’s ForceField C-UAS in July and the subsequent demonstration of its operational capabilities in a series of live-fire trials, including the interception of FPV drone targets and other low-altitude aerial threats.
ForceField combines passive electro-optical sensing, embedded Edge AI, autonomous decision support with human-in-the-loop control and kinetic engagement in one system designed to protect forces, combat vehicles and tactical positions against evolving aerial threats. Axon Vision said in a 7 September press release that ForceField has been specifically designed to detect and counter fibre-optic-controlled FPV drones and other aerial threats that cannot be countered by electronic warfare. The system is capable of operating independently, without the need for continuous communications or reliance on external detection systems, and can be integrated with existing military platforms using standard weapons and ammunition.
The order includes an initial order valued at approximately ILS 6 million, together with customer options for up to an additional ILS 9 million. Delivery of the systems is expected to take place over the next 12 months.
