eVTOL developer Beta Technologies have posted a net loss of USD119 million for the third quarter on revenues of USD17m resulting in adjusted earnings before taxation depreciation and amortisation (Adj EBITDA) loss of USD94.45m this compares with a Adj EBITDA of USD67.58 million in the same period of last year.
Commenting on the figures founder and Chief Executive Kyle Clarke called it the company’s “strongest quarter of revenue since it’s inception noting that the company has “exceeded the targets it set itself at the beginning of the year” Clarke went on to highlight the progress of the company aircraft development programme saying that the the company’s CTOL variant prototypes had amassed more than 250,000 nautical miles in flight and also drew attention to the recent approval by the FAA which will allows demonstration flights with customers and other stake holders on it’s eVTOL A250 prototypes.
In terms of the year to date, losses expressed as Adj EBIT total USD304.5m versus USD200.7m for the first nine months of 2025. The company’s cash position has dramatically improved compared with this point last year thanks to funds from private investors and its IPO which took the cash position from USD646m to USD1.343 billion. That has had a commensurate impact on liabilities attributed to share holder equity. Which according to the filing has led to total assets measured in perfect balance with liabilities.
Initial market reaction to the results is positive with shares up by 10% to USD22.44 in pre-opening trading.
