Bombardier plans to invest at least $270 million in an American expansion following what President Donald Trump described as a “deal” orchestrated by U.S. officials working with his administration.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social on Thursday night, Trump wrote that the business jet manufacturer’s $270 million investment will create thousands of American jobs in Wichita, Kansas, home to the company’s U.S. headquarters, as well as Texas and Indiana. The president implied that the move came about because of the efforts of Republican Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
