CHC do Brasil has been named Petrobras’ Best Supplier for Air Logistics in the state-owned energy company’s 2026 Best Supplier Awards. Petrobras’ Best Supplier Awards recognise companies that deliver outstanding performance in the provision of goods and services across its operations. Suppliers are assessed against a range of criteria including operational performance, quality, HSE performance, ESG performance, management and value generation.
Speaking about the accolade, Gilson Caputo Junior, Managing Director, Brazil, said: “I am incredibly proud to receive this award on behalf of CHC Brazil. It takes hundreds of colleagues working together across planning, maintenance, flight operations, supply chain and many other functions to deliver the unrivalled helicopter services our customers rely on every day. What makes this Best Supplier recognition so special is what it says about our people and their commitment to delivering outstanding, safe and reliable services year-round.”
Búzios Field crew change contract
In addition, to the award announcement Petrobras has also signed a contract with CHC which will see the operator deliver crew change operations in support the the Búzios field. The contract calls for CHC to transport offshore personnel from Maricá Airport using an S-92 already based there.
Búzios is among the country’s largest offshore oil developments. Located approximately 180km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro in the Santos Basin pre-salt region, it has achieved successive production records and contains some of the most productive wells in Brazil.
Commenting on the contract Licia Rocha, CHC Senior Sales Director, Americas and APAC, said, “We are delighted to have been awarded this latest contract by Petrobras. It reflects the trust they place in CHC, built through decades of consistently high-performance in support of Petrobras’ offshore operations. By combining the expertise of our team in Brazil with the strength of our global organisation, we are well positioned to support our customers as offshore production continues to expand across the region.”
The contract is scheduled to start in June 2027.
