After three years as export manager for truck mount and spider lift manufacturer Socage, Stefan Weber has moved to a similar role at sister company CTE. His main focus, at least initially, will be on central European markets. The move was agreed a few months ago, and it is now official.

Weber began his aerial lift career in 1997 with Iteco – now Imer Access – as export sales and product manager. Six years later, towards the end of 2002, he moved to Italian truck mounted lift manufacturer GSR as sales manager. Over the following 12 years, he played a key role in building a strong export business for the company, but surprised everyone in 2015 by leaving the company and the industry. He did not stay away for long, just over 12 months later, he was back as export manager at self-propelled aerial lift manufacturer Airo, becoming general sales manager in 2022, then leaving for Socage the following year.
CTE chief operating officer, Marco Govoni said: “I have known Stefan for a long time, and it is a pleasure to welcome him on board and to share our professional journey together in this process of change that the company is going through today and I am sure his experience and ability will help us a lot.”
“This new appointment is part of CTE’s internationalisation strategy, aimed at consolidating existing business relationships and seizing new market opportunities, while offering solutions aligned with customer needs.”
Stefan Weber added: ”I am very happy to join CTE, a company well known and respected for the quality of its products and the clarity of its international vision. The originality and innovation behind some of CTE’s solutions truly set the brand apart in the aerial platform industry. I would like to thank CTE for this exciting and thrilling opportunity. The Central European markets offer real potential, and I am here to help turn it into concrete results – strengthening existing relationships and building new opportunities with customers and partners.”
Vertikal Comment
This is an interesting move by Weber, coming just nine months after CTE was acquired by Socage, which has stated that the two companies will continue to operate independently in the market, while benefiting from synergies in production and development.
It also comes a few months after the appointment of Enrique García Delgado as European vice president of sales for Socage, making this move possible or rather, practical. Stefan Weber is a highly experienced and effective sales manager and should make a real difference to CTE in central Europe.
