Expliseat, a French company best known for manufacturing lightweight economy-class aircraft seating, has expanded its portfolio into the business-class segment. The company is initially focusing on the Embraer E-Jet and CRJ platforms.
Expliseat’s first business-class product is the TiSeat S. The company is known for its use of titanium and carbon fibre to create lightweight seats, and the approach has been carried over to the TiSeat S. The seat has an all-carbon fibre backshell, advanced cushioning, ergonomically integrated storages, and options for integrating personal devices.
Expliseat has designed the seat to scale seamlessly from regional to single-aisle aircraft cabins, including the A320 and B737 families, with options including IFE displays and various passenger amenities.
According to Expliseat, the seat has been developed over the past two years in collaboration with airlines across North America and Europe, including workshops and prototype demonstrations.
“Airlines made it clear: business-class seats must deliver both premium passenger appeal and strong economics,” said Antonio Ficca, VP strategy and marketing, Expliseat. “With TiSeat S, we’ve built a scalable platform: durable, adaptable across fleets, with entry into service planned for 2027.”
