Lufthansa Cargo’s GlobeCross has opened its new headquarters at Frankfurt Airport, bringing together key business functions in a shared workspace.
The business, which was formed in May with the merger of the Heyworld e-commerce and CB Customs Broker businesses, now has a central base for its e-commerce logistics, customs clearance and import terminal teams.
Bringing these functions together will strengthen collaboration, simplify decision-making and and create a stronger foundation for future innovation and customer service to support the company’s continued growth, said Lufthansa Cargo.
GlobeCross plays a key role in facilitating cross-border trade for businesses moving goods into and across Europe. The company’s proximity to operation hubs at Frankfurt Airport ensures faster and more efficient ways of working, the airline added.
“This move brings the GlobeCross vision to life and is perfectly in line with Lufthansa Cargo’s mission to Enabling Global Business” said Ashwin Bhat, chief executive of Lufthansa Cargo.
“We have moved beyond the boundaries that once separated two organisations and created a shared gateway where our cultures, values and expertise come together.”
Nikola Todic, managing director at GlobeCross, commented: “Our new headquarters is more than a place to work; it reflects the journey we have taken together and the company we are building as GlobeCross.
“We are creating stronger connections, a shared sense of purpose, and a foundation that will help us deliver on our vision of turning borders into gateways.”
As well as its headquarters at Frankfurt Airport, GlobeCross also has offices in The Netherlands and China.
