Helicopter parts and MRO specialists Midwest Aerospace has opened Midwest Blade Tech with a new state-of-the-art facility dedicated to main and tail rotor blade repair and servicing at the company’s Lowell, Indiana headquarters. The new facility combines advanced technology, specialised equipment, and a team of highly experienced technicians to provide repairs that meet and exceed industry performance and safety standards.
Midwest Blade Tech is also the exclusive distributor of Rotorcraft Repair and Manufacturing’s proprietary Dragon Skin Extreme (DSX) erosion and corrosion protection coating. With over 5,000 operating hours in harsh environments including agricultural, firefighting, medical, humanitarian, and military operations the company says that DSX ‘delivers exceptional durability and extends the lifespan and performance of rotor blades’.
