US based Sims Crane & Equipment has appointed Katie MacGillivary as chief financial officer. She joins the company from Channel Partners Solutions, an advertising agency where she has held a similar role since 2019.
MacGillivary began her career in 2001 as a staff auditor with accounting firm Arthur Andersen, just nine months before the company collapsed following the Enron scandal. She moved on to a senior auditor role at accounting and consulting firm EY (Ernst & Young), leaving for Teco Energy in 2004, where she was appointed manager of accounting. After five years in the role, she moved to the insurance industry as controller for Harden & Associates. In 2010, she landed her first CFO post with subprime car finance company Nicholas Financial. She spent most of 2018 with the manufacturer of private lableled, coffee, foods and essential oils, PrivateLabel.Sk joining Channel Partner Solutions at the end of that year.
