LONDON — A Qatar Airways flight from Doha was met by security personnel upon landing at London Gatwick Airport early Thursday morning following an onboard incident involving a disruptive passenger.
Flight QR329 departed Hamad International Airport in Doha during the middle of the night on Thursday, September 17, 2026, bound for London.
According to flight tracking details, the long-haul service was flying over Switzerland at approximately 04:29 UTC when the flight crew radioed ahead to London Gatwick air traffic control. The pilots requested that local airport security and police meet the aircraft immediately upon arrival to handle a disruptive individual on board.
Despite the incident in the cabin, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner made good time, touching down early on Gatwick’s runway at 06:30 local time, ten minutes ahead of its scheduled 06:40 arrival.
After landing, the aircraft taxied directly to the airport’s North Terminal, where security officers were waiting to board and attend to the situation.
It remains unconfirmed whether any arrests were made or if the disruption caused any subsequent delays for departing passengers.
