Freight forwarder Geodis has signed up to utilise data provider Rotate’s live capacity and air demand solutions in response to increased industry volatility.
In a press release, Rotate said that its live capacity service provides hourly insights into global air cargo supply using aircraft positioning data that covers all carriers, all airports, and all flown flights, including passenger belly capacity, freighters, and charter operations.
Meanwhile, Rotate’s air demand product provides trade data, traffic flows and volume figures across major trade lanes, including 5,000+ commodities and critical e-commerce lanes.
Ryan Keyrouse, co-founder and chief executive of Rotate, said: “In today’s environment, the ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insight is critical.
“Together, we’re helping [Geodis’] teams make faster, more informed decisions across their global air freight network.”
Casper Hedemann, senior vice president global airfreight at Geodis, added: “The air cargo market is becoming increasingly dynamic, and it’s important that we keep up with it.
“Working with Rotate has been valuable, not just for their data capabilities, but for the close collaboration with their team. That combination is helping us advance a more data-driven approach across the business.”
